Ms. Siobhan Murphy
Originally from Ireland, Siobhan has nearly 20 years of international teaching and leadership experience, including more than a decade in the UAE. She began her career in London and Ireland before moving to Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, where she worked across American, Irish, and British curricula. With a background in Business and Education, she has led in areas such as teaching and learning, technology integration, and school improvement.
As the founding Campus Head of VISS Kalba, Siobhan is passionate about building a strong, caring school community that feels like a home away from home. She believes in ensuring that both students and staff are lifelong learners, and that high expectations, engaging lessons, and a strong focus on wellbeing and attendance are key to student success.

Tara McInerney
Assistant Principal (Pre-KG to Grade 2 and Specialist Subjects)
Ms. Tara McInerney
Tara, also from Ireland, joined VISS Kalba after being part of the founding team at VISS Khorfakkan. She has taught and led across the UAE for the past decade, working with students and teachers from Pre-KG to Grade 8 and serving in roles such as Head of English, Head of Mathematics, and Teaching and Learning Coach. She holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership and is deeply committed to supporting teachers through mentoring and coaching.
Tara leads our youngest learners in Pre-KG to Grade 2, as well as specialist subjects including HPE, Art, and Music. She is passionate about creating joyful, curiosity-driven classrooms where children feel confident and inspired to learn. Living on the East Coast with her husband, who is also an AP within the VISS group. Tara enjoys the natural beauty of Kalba’s beaches and mountains, which remind her of home in Ireland.
Mr. Liam Allen
Originally from the UK, Liam has been teaching and leading in the UAE for over ten years. He has overseen English, Wellbeing, and Inclusion across multiple schools and is currently completing a Master’s in Education, having already achieved the NPQSL (National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership).
At VISS Kalba, Liam leads Grades 3–5 and has responsibility for Wellbeing and Inclusion. He believes that every child should feel safe, supported, and encouraged to achieve their potential. Liam is known for his approachable style and for building strong relationships with students and families alike. In his free time, he enjoys sport, reading, and exploring the East Coast community with his family.

Ms. Lee Reich
Originally from Victoria, Australia, Lee has been part of the VISS Kalba campus since it first opened, helping to shape the school and its community from the ground up. Before moving to Kalba, she worked at the main campus in Al Taawun, where she served as Deputy Head and Assistant Principal. With over eight years’ experience in the UAE, Lee brings deep knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum and a proven record of leading across many areas of school life.
At VISS Kalba, Lee leads Middle School (Grades 6–9) and oversees the Ministry subjects, ensuring that students are challenged academically while also supported socially and emotionally. She is passionate about developing independence, responsibility, and critical thinking in young people, and values strong connections with both students and families. Outside of school, Lee enjoys reading, travelling, history, and learning about new places and cultures.
