Curriculum
Contemporary Pedagogy and Authentic Learning Experiences
Age appropriate pedagogy ensuring personalised learning experiences regardless of your child’s grade level. Our pedagogy is grounded in a combination of explicit teaching, supported by guided learning and inquiry approaches to ensure a balanced approach to teaching and learning.
Learning Enhancement
Applying the Response to Intervention model we support class-based personalised learning. Children with specific learning needs as well as the Gifted and Talented student are identified early, provisions implemented and Individualised learning plans developed to address specific needs.
Multiple Curriculum
At VISS Kalba, students follow a curriculum that builds strong foundations and prepares them for global opportunities. Kindergarten uses the VEYLDF, promoting growth through play, exploration, and early bilingual learning. Primary (Prep–Grade 5) follows the Victorian Curriculum with strong foundations in core subjects, complemented by Arabic, Islamic Studies, and UAE Social Studies. Middle School (Grades 6–9) combines the Victorian and Global Citizenship curricula, developing critical thinking, cultural awareness, and the skills to thrive in a connected world.

Since opening in 2022, we have grown from 300 to more than 700 students and have rapidly become a thriving school community. We are proud of our achievements, from strong student progress in both English and Arabic, to the positive culture of respect, kindness, and resilience lived daily by our students. As we continue to expand and enhance our facilities, we remain committed to nurturing every child’s potential and preparing them for a bright future.
